FEED MY SHEEP DAILY DEVOTIONAL Pastor Seth The Christian (Part 2) We know by scripture that the Christian is the individual whose sins have been washed away by the eternal blood of Jesus (Heb. 9:14). The washing away of sin is not an end in itself. It is the beginning of a life long journey of living for God. Salvation or born again or redemption brought the Christian to the kingdom for a reason and to a lifestyle. It is a complete aberration if any other lifestyle dominates a professing christian. Why did you become a Christian? a. *It is so you can become a child of God* . _“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name”_ (John 1:12). It simply means you were a child of someone before you became a child of God. Jesus said it was the devil: _“Your father is the devil. You are his child(ren), and you want to do what your father wants…_ (John 8:44 CEB). At salvation, you changed who your father is. You n...

FEED MY SHEEP DAILY DEVOTIONAL The Christian (Part 1) The Christian is that person who has willingly surrendered his or her life to Jesus. It is an experience Jesus referred to as born again (John 3:3). It occurs when the heart of a man is completely transformed by the work of the Holy Spirit through the blood of Jesus which cleanses the heart and washes away sin. His conduct changes, his desire is made anew and his focus is drawn away from the world to Jesus. _“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”_ (2 Corinthians 5:17). The Christian becomes a new person not by resolutions, religious activities or generosity towards...

Revelation 4:11 "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." We were made to give him pleasure. This means our life brings joy and satisfaction to God. Anything less than this is the abuse of creation. When we decide to walk with God, we are DELIBERATELY deciding to use our resources and through our conduct to bring pleasure to him. Isaiah 43:21 "This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise." Walking with God means we are fulfilling the purpose for our creation. We do this by showing forth our praise to God. Praise is expressing our respect and g...
